When I got asked to take on some VIP passes to Light Up Arlington, it came with the caveat that I needed to have a lot of fun and write about it. As a blogger and freelance writer, I’m excited to share new events, activities and fun for adults and families alike. So when I signed up to be a Naturally Fun blogger for the City of Arlington I was excited. I’m new to their program but so far I have been able to participate in some great activities provided by the City of Arlington. For all of you that are not local to Dallas-Fort Worth, Arlington, TX is where Cowboys Stadium (Home of the Dallas Cowboys) and the Ballpark in Arlington (Home of the Texas Rangers) is located. Besides that Arlington, TX is about 20 minutes from the DFW International Airport with lots of family activities such as Six Flags, and Six Flags Hurricane Harbor and much more.
Light Up Arlington
Light up Arlington is this Wednesday, July 3, 2013 from 6 to 11 p.m. The traditional 4th of July party for the city of Arlington, this year’s event has one of my favorite new wave 80’s cover bands playing. The Spazmatics. I heart them so much! Playing hits from Billy Idol and A-Ha, the Spazmatics know how to bring a show. With food, kid’s activities, vendors and of course fireworks this annual Fourth of July event is not one to miss. Find out more at the City of Arlington. Live music at the Coors Light Stage, Boomtown children’s area, Radio Disney, and all vendor booths will open at 6 p.m. The Levitt Pavilion bands will kick-off beginning at 7:30 p.m. The Boomtown children’s area will close at 9 p.m. in preparation for the firework show which will begin at 9:45 p.m. After the show, vendor booths will remain open until 10:30 p.m.
The party will begin at Levitt Pavilion on 100 W. Abram St in Arlington. Join the event on facebook and check out the YouTube video:
